Self Organizing Galaxy
The Self Organizing Galaxy was a temporary art exhibit on a lower World Trade Centre building done by Joanna Hyde in 1984. She was a young artist at the time and had just graduated from Cooper Union when she completed the project. It is a relevant and truly amazing piece of Art. I have watched this video several times and I am in AWE of the dedication, skill and insight of Joanna as an Artist. What an accomplishment this is.

Joanna,
This is spectacular…I am in awe!
Carol, thank you so much for your enthusiasm.
“One Woman’s Effort” – This is a surreal and haunting image. There is the obvious here, of the dedication, energy and skill that the artist put into this exhibit. However the symbolism in this photograph is haunting.
Thank you for the title, Jackie. All I feel I need to say, at this point, is that when my mother gave birth to me she told me, years later, that she felt an affinity to all women.
Joanna, this is an epic work of art, and it’s imprint is eternal.
Thank you Kris — and that seems to be not enough.
Just seen the painting on the trade center on you tube. Wow! probably do not remember me Joanna? s
Of course I remember you! How could I ever forget? How is your family? Please give your mother my love.
great!
